Gas Mileage

Well my mom was considering the G35 sedan (07-08) and I kinda convinced her to get the G35 coupe (not G37 but nothing against it). She said if she finds a coupe for the right price she might import one but shes waiting for the right one. Anyways she was concerned about gas mileage on the G35s. G's have pretty big engine shes coming from a 2.8 litre engine (528i) and thats not great either. She drove my uncles 1999 Pathfinder Le for a month while he was in HongKong and that was terrible on gas. And now the pathfinder is stolen btw . But yeah hows the gas mileage for you guys? I know the specs off infiniti canada but those usually are a little generous in my opinion so I was wondering what you guys are getting.

Thanks, Brendan

Maybe about 18mpg (or 13.3km/100L). City driving only. Can't wait to get on the highway.

If Mom's looking for good mileage, IMO the G is not the car for her.

i average 13.5 - 15 l/100 in my car. i'd say i'm 80/20% cty/hwy. if i'm decent on the accelerator a tank will give me about 500 km's or less.

best case you're looking at ~20-21mpg city, ~29-31mpg hwy.

that's not bad, but if your mom wants good fuel economy she needs to be looking at lighter 4-cylinder vehicles, not at performance-oriented vehicles.

With about 60% highway and 40% city, I average about 11L/100 KMs.

I don't have a Coupe, I have a G35X sedan, but since I got my car I have averaged 11.5 L/100kms, this is my average calculated over 18,000 kms. The majority of my driving is highway.

I get 14-16 L/100 kms on 100% city driving, although it seems to be much worse in the winter - it's been as high as 20 L/100 kms. On 100% highway driving it's about 11.5L/ 100 kms.

i only get about 12-14 mpg in the city. I only used highways once in a while. Nyc mpg should be on the window sticker also because its always lower, we have a traffic light every neighborhood block.

^^ i don't know what i'm doing different but i usually get ~21mpg in the city.

i just fueled up today and achieved 596kms on 65L, 10.9L/100km. this equates to 22.1 mpg. city driving in Vancouver.
