Winter Mats anyone?

I really need to find a set of winter mats! Anyone know where I could get some? I don't want to go to the dealership for some - prices are crazy there, along with the people.

seeing as though Canadian Tire mats that are the same if not better material are for $30, $100 is alittle steep

Except the OEM ones are custom-fit for your car and even have the little eyelet to keep your driver's mat in place. Depends what you're looking for, I guess. Personally, after having driven my previous car with after-market mats that didn't fit right and slid all over the place getting lodged under the gas pedal, I was happy to pay the $100 for the OEM mats.

yeah.. but u won't ship to canada for less than 10$ will u?

i've got the oem mats in my car. i like them.. because they are a perfect fit in the footwell. i don't buy crappy tire one's anymore.. because although they may be better rubber and deeper.. they never seem to fit right in these types of cars. i always end up cutting them up to properly fit them behind/around the pedals... which really defeats the purpose of them. especially in the winter time. just my 2 cents.

I agree. Don't cheap out on the mats. It properly protects the carpet and the fitment makes using them safer. I've got the OE winters too and they stay in my car year round.

Damn....
Just realized I probably have my '04 sedan mats kicking around.
I'll check tonight & post them up if anyone needs a set.

More info in this thread. I have CT ones (Michelin) and am pretty happy with them. Fitment is good, though not as perfect as OEM.

I bought winter mats for my '07 and I probably won't be putting them in this year. All they seem to do is trap water which then wicks up my pants leg. Thinking of just getting another set of carpet mats for when these start to look ratty.

That's what I am doing as well. I am not a fan of rubber mats at all and will be using my carpet mats. When they wear out, time for a new set. I keep the inside of my car quite clean in the winter anyways.

ya but my point is it obviously doesn't cost that much to make them so why do they cost $100? It's kinda crazy like the original poster said.

Since when does price have to be directly related to production cost? What are you, a communist? You charge what the market will bear, and if people are willing to pay $100 for well-made, good-fitting mats, why should they charge less?
