Car Radio seems to .....

Does anybody have problems with your radio going quite when slowing for red lights. I believe that the volume is speed sensitive. I can't really tell if it really adjust the volume based on the speed. But I had noticed on a few instances where the volume lowers very noticeably when slowing down and stopping for red lights. Anybody have issues?

I can feel the low-mid range will change due to the vehicle speed change. But I don't think it is easy to notice unless you brake your G very hard

What you are hearing is the SCV (speed sensitive control volume) system built into the radio.
If it quiets the volume too much, push the Audio button to scroll to SCV mode and select OFF, LOW, MID or HIGH to tailor it to your tastes. The higher the setting, the more it quiets the radio at lower speeds and raises the volume at higher speeds.
It explains the system on page 4-11 in my Coupe O/Manual. I'm not sure of the page in the Sedan O/Manual.

Good on ya, Gman.
Sounds like some remedial owner's manual reading is in order for a few folks. Lower your heads in shame and repeat three times," I will read the manual and play with all the buttons and ***** in the car again today" ) Amazing all the interesting stuff in that book! Now, do you know what happens when you hold unlock on the key fob for an extended period of time?

Cheers,
D

Tell you what Derek as penance and to restore your opportunity to have some fun I will come up with another question for our members to puzzle over.

Just give me a day or two find something. Now where did I leave my owners manual......
