There are a few nice pictures, too bad they focused on only a few locations. I should take the camera and tripod downtown one day soon a take a shot at sharing a few of the city's other landmarks with you. It will give me an opportunity to be creative with the 18-55 lens.

Make sure you hit the Uptown Bottle Depot by my workplace and the Crack Mac's at 7th and 9th.

But yeah, lots of nice places besides City Hall and the Centre St. bridge.

 

Calgary is a very nice city in the summer it is much nicer than the pictures show.

 

Ya the summer is nice, or during/after fresh snow (before it all turns brown).

 

Way to pick out the good spots Wayne.

Don't forget the entire East Village while you're over there. Make sure to bring a Guardian Angel or two.

I'll see what I can do... I've got a few in my portfolio but I'm not planning a shoot in the near future.

I've been driving the coupe on Monday and Thursday. The wife returned to work after 17 months of maternity leave so now we're carpooling and taking the kids to grandma's.

 

How do you guys find the G35c in Calgary winters? This is my first year in Calgary - it doesn't seem all that snowy (seems to be saved for the mountains!)

 

Depends greatly on your choice of tires. It's not generally all that snowy here, and we do tend to get more later in the winter - March is our snowiest month. I bought my sedan (RWD) last year about this time and thought "oh, I'll just muddle through on all-seasons until spring". Mistake!! I swear I didn't drive on dry pavement from the end of January til the end of March! SO this past Sept I invested in some new Blizzaks.

 

I've got Blizzaks on my coupe. While we don't get a lot of snow, none of the community streets get plowed/cleared when it does snow (unless it's a bus route). That snow then gets packed, partially melted with the chinook, then frozen again into ice. I wouldn't be able to pull into my driveway or away from the curb without them.

 

Winter tires FTW! I woudn't be without them, even with the x.
