Hey Rumble, I got the same notice today from Infiniti (concerning the Sedan I traded).

Yeh, so far so good. The Coupe's only been out for a short time so it's a little early yet. Plus the Sedan did all the 'teething' for the Coupe.(Thanks all you Sedan owners) [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

I had the car in this AM to change the belts. They replaced the circuit board while it was in. Didn't know there was an official recall. Said they only got a certain number in. When I got home, the letter just came informing me re the recall, so if you want this done, you might have to wait until they replenish the supply.

Hey Gord, What belts did they change? You mean the drive belts (serpentine)-- I think there's 2, 1 big and 1 small.

Yes, the drive belts. I only have 11,800 on the G, but I took it in twice to have the belts adjusted when they started 'squeeking' (like a loose belt does). Stopped at intersections, it would sound like an 'old Chevy'. [img]/w3timages/icons/blush.gif[/img]
They decided to replace the belts.

Hey i'm taking mine in for an oil change on monday...think they have the board to do mine too?

Probably. Depends on how many go in between today and then. Call them and ask them if they have one for you. So far, I believe that they've only been replacing some of the ones that have faulted. Now that the Vol Service Campaign has been announced, they'll do everyone affected. I'm not sure if they've been corrected after a certain build date either, so yours may or may not be affected. Did you get the letter?

I got this letter a couple of days ago. Gord, the circuit board you are talking about is that "newer version" of Audio and Temperature Control right? Just wondering if mine doesn't seem to have any problem so far, will they replace it anyways?

I also had that tamproof caps installed the last time I went for the oil change in late December.

Yes, that's the board. I believe I read somewhere that it affects the Gs manufactured up to mid August 2002 or so. They'll replace it now whether you have had a problem or not.

Thanks Gord..I'll schedule an apointment to do this, though I really want to wait till another month till my next oil change apointment so I can kill 2 birds with one stone.

On a side note, I just realize that the fuel gauge doesn't show FULL ( the needle is slightly, around 1/8 below FULL) when I fill my gas tank. Had that problem before, but after that fuel tank recall, thought it was fixed. Does any of you who had the fuel tank recall still experiencing the same thing with the fuel gauge?
