About to order
Finally I am ready to pull the trigger on leasing a 2008 g35x sport fully loaded. I went to my local dealer (tony graham infiniti) and test drove the g37 and g35x back to back and I just thought the g35 took so much less effort to drive and that the g37 isnt something I could live with every day very well.
My problem is... The dealer gave me a quote thats HIGHER than the MSRP... Is this common? I am guessing I have to go to other dealerships now and negotiate a better deal then get them to price match? They quoted me 2k down and $840/month for 48 months at 24k km... If I put in the same on the infiniti website it comes up at 832/month. And they quoted me WITH the $1500 January incentive.
I am not even sure if I want to buy from them now after getting that quote. Thoughts? Opinions?

if you live in toronto area (they might do this for Ontario, maybe even Canada, I don't know), go through APA (www.apa.ca).
basically, you become a member for $60 and you get invoice price on the car plus a markup of 1500 (for the G). You also pay invoice on packages. I got my G35X almost $4000 cheaper than what you'd pay for it as a regular customer.
Call them, TRUST ME you'll save $$$ and there will be no need to negotiate or wonder if you got the BEST deal. Only catch is only certain dealers will deal with APA. The toronto dealer is Agincourt infiniti-nissan. This applies to new cars only, not used.

I found Tony Graham unwilling to deal when I bought my '05. I got a better deal from 417 Infiniti across town, but only after I walked and the salesman got his Sales Manager to call me. I already had email quotes from dealers in the GTA and 417 ended up beating the lowest those. I was dealing with cash, so it was admittedly a little less complicated to do.
In the end I paid invoice at 417, while Tony G. wanted at least $1,500 over invoice.
No dealer will reduce their price unless you make it clear that you can get the same car for less somewhere else. You have to actually be willing to go somewhere else, which means that you do actually have to have a lower quote - if you're bullsh!tting, they'll know it. Good luck.
