Ian, I completely forgot about you going south for your "work" trip. Have fun in the Bahamas and take some good pics of the courses you play.

Peter, the two main websites that I use for deals is www.redtag.ca and www.travellastminute.ca

I have used www.jmvacations.com the last couple of years for my Portugal/Spain trips.

Hey thanks so much everyone.

K and I are packed and ready to go We are heading to Toronto tomorrow morning and will be in the Mayan Riviera at 9:30 AM on Tuesday for a couple of weeks.

If any of you are ever thinking of going down there, I belong to a great site, where everyone is friendly and helpful like this site (which is rare). PM me and I will give you the name of the site. We are meeting up with a bunch of loco gringos down there. This is our third year down there and there is lots to do and the people are so friendly.

I'll take lots of pics and post them when I return.

Ian, You have a great time in the Bahamas with your work group (going to miss having you and Pat with us this year)

Wayne

Hey guys, we are back. Got home yesterday. Been busy with the Club Fish Hatchery since I got back.
I haven't even had time to D/L my pics yet.

We had an absolutely fantastic time. Every day was perfect, it was generally around 29-30C every day. We met lots of my Loco gringo friends down there, swam in the Carribean every day and snorkelled almost as much.
Food was great, people were great, and the drinks were extremely refreshing.

We found an awesome place to snorkel, a beautiful protected bay with lots of beautiful coral, sea turtles, rays, baracudas, squid, parrotfish, etc. We would go there snorkel all morning with the odd break for a Cervaza then walk to a little place for Shrimp or fish tacos and take them back to the beach to enjoy with another Cervaza, then snorkel the rest of the afternoon.

We found a place that we are hoping to stay at for 4 weeks next year.

The only bad part was returning and having to drive with the dickweeds that can't drive in Toronto (don't mean any of you) . It took one hour just to travel from the Airport Hilton to Derry road and a total of 3.5 hours to get to Orangeville. I don't know what they would do if their roads got real bad (call the Army again, I guess). We were so fed up that we spent the night in a crummy Hotel in Orangeville. Then returned yesterday.

But as I said we had an amazing time. I will post a few pics in a couple of days, once I get sttled ionto thie routine again.

Wayne

HAHA! First post back, he uses 'dickweed', too funny. Can't wait to see the pics and hear the stories and hear all about this magical place...maybe it's somewhere I should go.

Good to have you back Wayne. I'm not surprised about your immediate dedication to the hatchery! Glad to hear you guys had an amazing time. It sounds perfect.

Yeah, lol at the use of dickweed. That must be a regular in the vocabulary now.

Let's see some pics soon.
