Finally got some time to do this on my own... it took me like 3+ hours on each side due to the contour:

Looks great man. They are definitely a PITA to install, but look great and is worth the time and effort spent IMO. If you want to see contour, look at the headlights on the 2nd gen Sedan.

Re: Roof overlay, I actually got the overlay from BlueBat already, but not sure if I would want to put overlay on or if I would want to get my roof painted instead. I guess I would deicde once the weather gets warmer..

 

Agreed... I wouldn't want to imagine how hard it is lol... but I think they look really nice on the 2nd gen sedan. Did you do the installation on your own?

Yeah, I did them myself. I just took my time, but they were definitely a PITA. I plan on doing the tails in the spring and they look much more straight forward........at least I hope.

I was tempted to get some HL overlays on the Z, but it's a no no for a lease return.
& I understand that they don't come off all that well.

 

They will dry up over time, yet, with a heat gun, they come off pretty easily.

 

When they're peeled off....
Don't they discolour the light after they've been on for a long time?

 

I haven't seen any cases where it discolor the plastic that the overlay covers. Yet, if that's what you worry about... don't do the overlay, unless if you would want to swap your lights when you turn the car in
