Re: Anyone dyno yesterday?

My torque was higher as well 239 torque 233 HP. I think that his dyno needs recalibrated or something. I only did this for a baseline so that I have a comparison after I get my turbos installed.

Re: Anyone dyno yesterday?

Did you guys get any air/fuel readings? If your engine is lean in the higher rpms that can attribute to your lower hp results. Also, sometimes when trying to dyno an automatic the torque converter will flash and could give inaccurate readings. What did Jeff say?

Re: Anyone dyno yesterday?

My Air/Fuel was 14.8 straight across the chart from about 2300 to 6600 rpms. It didn't fluctuate hardly at all. It almost looks too perfect. All of the A/F charts that I have seen have quite a bit of fluctuation throughout the band. However, most of those charts were probably after mods.

Re: Anyone dyno yesterday?

Yo Sam, with your baseline results and with reference with Derek's numbers, why are they so far from manufact. specs of 280 HP and 270 lbs torque? Are the dyno test results the actual power output of the vehicle? Cause if they are, I got a beef with Infiniti selling cars that are claiming numbers that aren't true.

Re: Anyone dyno yesterday?

Hi bro, The dyno numbers these guys have are h/p and torque at the wheels.(RWH-- Rear Wheel H/P). The manufacturer's numbers are power and torque at the flywheel.
The "real" numbers include things like drivetrain losses which can account for about 20% or so.

Re: Anyone dyno yesterday?

Hey Ben, GSedanman is right. It's the dyno numbers that are the real numbers. That's why I want to get the turbo's so that I will be pullin' 330-340 HP at the wheels.

Can you say YaaHooooo!!!!!

Re: Anyone dyno yesterday?

i don't think a turbo will make you 330-340whp, that's almost 100whp gain, which is unlikely, but maybe 280-300whp sounds reasonable?

Nice wheels you got there btw.

Re: Anyone dyno yesterday?

That is what the guys with the Z's are getting so I assume mine will be close to that. The only reason that I wanted this turbo setup was to get the 100rwhp so it had better be close to that.

Re: Anyone dyno yesterday?

I've heard the supercharger on the G has disappointing result comparing to the Z, so don't count on the Z's dyno'd number too much. I am curious to see how will TT do on G35C though.

Re: Anyone dyno yesterday?

Hey Sammy,

What were your overall impressions with Dynapower? I still have to get my car tuned, have been travelling for the past week and still have not had time to do it. Would you recommend Dynapower?

Re: Anyone dyno yesterday?

The shop was fine and Jeff seemed like a decent guy, but I'm a little concerned by the torque readings being higher than the HP readings. That tells me that his equipment may be out of adjustment or something.

I might try another place just to get another reading.
