Hi guys, been a member here for quite a while, although post count is pretty low.

Just wanted to throw this out there to see if there is any interest. I can advance base timing 2 degrees on any 2000+ Nissan vehicle. I have done this on about 20 maximas, a few altimas, a few muranos, a few g's and a few z's.

If anyone is interested in bumping up your timing this can be done at the stealership for $95 plus tax. Or I can meet you and do it for $25. Or you can come to me and it will be $20.

This mod will net you about 3-5 horsepower throughout the power band. Dyno proven. In most cases the base is 15*BTDC and I can bump to 17*BTDC. In one case I was able to add 2* to a car that was bumped at the stealership to 17* and I was able to make it 19*. Nissan spec is 15-20.

 

I can vouch for Knight. This is a great Mod for $25. I had the timing advance done on my 2003 Maxima by Knight and now on my 2004 G35. You will get a increased throttle response on your 'G'

 

I'll pay the extra $5 for you to come to me.

Sounds like an awseome deal; you might want to post your area though. Can you explain more about what base timing is?

While you're there, might as well come to Calgary. I'll even pay you an EXTRA 5 bucks!! Looks like a good mod, though, and according to some posts on Maxima, you can sometimes get the dealer to do it 'while they're at it' if you're in for something else. Can't imagine that would fly with our local 'monopoly', but ya never know.

 

I've had a few locals pm me. If you guys who are interested can meet at cloverdale mall around 5:30 pm on Monday the 21st April, I will be there around 5:30 -6pm to do a few advances and I have to install a short ram intake on an altima. In front of the zellers, we'll look for an open area and hang out there for a while


Cloverdale Mall is at dundas and east mall? IIRC. I know for me I just get off hwy 27 and take the dundas exit.

 

I'm interested, $25 sounds good.

Hows about setting something for the folks on east end of the GTA, something like Fairview mall, Scarborough Town or Markville Mall etc.

 

No it will not, the vq35 engine base timing specification is 15-20*

 

Well only 1 guy showed up tonight. After all the pm's I got expecting 50% of people to show up at least 5 should have shown up.

Scarborough is way to far for me during the week. The next few weekends are really busy as I am adding mods to my car. So I'll give you guys a second chance.

How about the AMC theatres at 400/7 hwys. It's about the halfway point, they have a nice big parking lot all by itself. This Friday night around 6pm to about 7pm. Gives me time to do some running around eat some food meet up with you guys and head back to Hamilton.
