I personally love the sound, but yea, they are illegal, and it's a risk. I'm not afraid though, because my car is not a very stereotypical tuner car, and if a cop smells something, he'll probably think it's the civic with the fartcan beside me. It's not something I would reccomend to others, but for myself, I find the risk to be not that great.

 

but do you really thing that a non car enthusiast cop would actually be trained to smell test pipes, the smell can be anything to someone that has no clue about cars?

 

is not that hard to tell when a car has test or not, the sound gives it away right away. One can put test in the car and I have, i went with high flow cats then test.

Last night in Sudbury I was pulling out of the Shopper's DrugMart on Long Lake Rd. I saw a smoking brunette pulling in a brand new blue 350Z. She saw my DG Coupe and we locked eyes it was beautiful, each thinking our car was better, true love I tell you....lol

 

Blah... chicks that smoke are a turn off.
