yes.. it took them about 30 seconds to install, they (JRP in mississauga) will plug it in for you... total cost 339$ and around 8$ in gas to get there....

they have a whole **** load of other stuff as well, including a ton of cleaning/detailing supplies...

basically, you are turning your 5AT into a 6MT... responsiveness is crazy... and with a few bolt on mods (spacer), you will bring a 5AT on par with a 6MT...

even without the boltons, with the sprintbooster and in manual-auto mode, you can take on a 6MT off the line easily (unless the driver is really good, a regular driver would have no chance) ...

my car is constantly in 6000+ RPM when sprinting.. thus the SPRINTBOOSTER. worth every penny!

no side effects, maybe gas mileage? which would be the opposite of having a 6MT as i think the sprintbooster will "slightly" cause a drop as you are using more of your power then before...

and after 2 days, i'm pretty much used to the throttle response but i still feel good when driving with it... but i still think, a price drop should be offered.. maybe 200$... 300$ is too much for something that can easily be reverse engineered. (the part itself is the size of a bottle cap)

 

thx for the info, i guess ebay has sprintboosters as well, i kinda searched youtube as well. 300 definitely seems high 150-200 seems more reasonable. if i search more on e-bay im sure i can find cheaper ones.

 

How exactly does the sprint booster work, and does it really matter about brands and cheaper and expensive ones? or will alll do the exact same job. There seems to be a high interest here, maybe we can try to work out a group buy or somthing

 

far as i know, only one brand with the name "sprintboosteR" with that yellow/black pattern box that says "power converter" below the title...

the same look is for all the cars its offered for.... best bet is to have a group buy and head to JRP ..... retail is for 339$ on their website (us i think) ....

i was youtubin sprintbooster and apparently, porsche owners are using it as well....

i might have a source that can sell the sprint booster for cheaper then 339$ hes not sure if he can get them from Z1 ill let you guys know later. JRP looks professional but they really mistreat ppl just cuz they have clients. they quoted me 12,000$ for APS TT kit. 10,000$ for vortech supercharger, 2500$ for greddy intercooler. they have some insane pricing like 6000k for 6 piston bbk brembo. 3500 for 4pistons. from my tuner guy i got my 6 pistons for 2500$ US brand new out the box with racing brake fluid. i think he said about 200-250$ about the sprint booster.
