I took what I will continue to describe as a 9mm bullet off my windshield today on the 401. I thought a small anvil had landed on my roof actually, but it was quite the sharp crack. I figured I had gotten off scott-free until I noticed a tiny little starburst with a horizontal line through it. The whole damage area is no larger than a dime. Is there any cost-effective way to repair this? I thought I had heard of a way where they put some suction cup on the glass and it resealed it somehow. Am I imagining this? The only catch though, I believe, is that you had to be a certain size or the 'cup' didn't cover the whole damage area and could do it. But as the pressure or whatever was turned one, you could see the lines all dissappear, very cool effect.

Is there a place that does this in the GTA? (thanks for any help in advance!)

I had a repair done like that last year on my 07 and it is still holding up well Al. If the crack ever came back they took the price I paid off the price of a new windshield so it was a win-win situation.

I had it done at a shop in my town. I'm sure any good glass repair shop in your area could do it. They will have to inspect it to see if it is a candidate for this type of repair.
