Rust on inner door panel...

On the bright side, it is definitely not nearly as bad as the rust on my coupe passenger door.

Hmm to my knowledge the vehicle has never been repainted and it has been sitting in the O.C for most of its life (far, far away from any salt) so it must have occured when it has been in my possession.
I think the leading edge might be the case but how would I be able to adjust my doors or is there anyway to check if it is too tight? I was also thinking a rotory polisher might have burned the edge but I am not too certain.
What do you guys suggest to remedy the situation? I have a pretty mild clay bar; should I go with a more aggressive clay or should I go to wetsand with 3000 grit and move down until the rust is removed? It still feels like there is clear over the area and does not feel oxidated at all; but I will see what Infiniti says at my oil change and see if it is covered or not.

I suggest having the dealer look at it for their opinion. You might luck into them fixing it.

Thanks for the advice guys; will see what dealer can do before I do anything myself; and I won't be going to Oakville Infiniti since it is ~2000 km out of my way
