Okay, to somewhat redeem my Granny-ness, I finally got a clear path to my favourite chicane on the way home last night. It's a right-left-right ramp from eastbound Glenmore onto southbound Deerfoot, Cowgarians will know the one. Traffic got held up a little by some lady in the wrong lane (there's always one), then freed up right in front of me. With a ****-eating grin on my face, I knocked the MM into third and gunned it for the first right-hander, which is tighter than the other two. While braking lightly, I saw a Ford Thunderbutt -- or whatever those SC trucks are called -- had tucked in behind me and was coming hard. I clipped the apex and back hard on the throttle and swung her around the sweeping left-hander. Thunderbutt was trying diligently, but getting ever smaller in my rear-view. Transition into the right-hander and by now the V35 is wailing past 5 grand; as I carve the right hander, the tires began to protest and, stealing a backward glance, I could see Thunderbutt fading still more, his suspension struggling to keep his two and a half tons on the road. I exited Turn 3, my throttle at 11 out of 10, then let off and smoothly merged with the freeway traffic. Thunderbutt finally came waddling out of Turn 3, but kept the right lane and drove by me. I suspect I'll be in the 'kill' section of his forum this morning, but who cares. I am a granny no more.

LOL, good story Swivelhips (pssssst, better check the battery in your Pacemaker after giving it that kind of workout)
Very descriptive, when I read it, I felt like I was in the passenger seat beside you enjoying the ride.

Geez... I thought I was the only one that did that...

Ever have someone pull up behind you and beep because you're waiting for some fool to get a little further up the road... Hahaha...

I like the look on everyone's face when you come out of the on-ramp faster than everyone else is going...
