$200US shipped for Z springs/shocks/struts - too much?

PMing with a guy in Milwaukee, he wanted $300 for full Z susp, but I really only need the springs. Now he's offering springs/shocks/struts for $200 shipped. That still seems like a lot, though shipping is going to be a good chunk of that.

Opinions?

I also have a line on a set of coupe springs VERY cheap, but would like to be able to try different combos. One of the nicest stances I've seen is coupe rears and Z fronts. But then I'm stuck with a lot of spare parts I have no use for.

Love my 350/coupe setup, what year is this suspension? I think if it's 05+ you should do a complete swap of the shocks. If not, I might consider buying your Z Shocks.

$200 shipped seems like a decent deal, they're heavy!

Since you have the sport sedan, the shocks won't do a thing for you.
Why pay for extra shipping.

Milwaukee?
I'd be willing to bet that the nuts on the front struts are seized & he can't get them apart.
& that's why he wants to ship the pkg.

Yeah, I don't really need the shocks since I'm on sporties already, and the springs are off 03 so they are unrevised. Never thought about them living on the lake and probably being rusty. I'd better get pics if I decide to pull the trigger. Right now I'm thinking I'll wait and find some closer. Maybe I'll put a WTB in the local Bargain Finder/Kijiji/Craigslist and see if I can get some locally.

Thanks guys!

I paid about $200 for coupe shocks, Z springs and coupe springs. And that was local.

The only good reason to have another set of shocks is to be able to swap fronts as an assembly vs having to break them down each time. (Not bad but a pain)

So if you ever go back to stock, you can just swap the assembly back again.

Skim my350z forums for some springs.

Doing so daily. Evidently no Canucks ever drop their Z's.

Found a wicked set of 18" Z 5-spokes, though, that would look b1tchin' on my EM sedan. Good thing I'm broke. (ha, not really)

I paid 55 bucks shipped for unrevised springs.
455 shipped for my dspecs.

By bolts were also seized I had to cut off wheel and metal chisel them off.

+1 on this. Buy southern and wait for just the springs!

FYI, Wayne Z springs didn't drop my coupe at all.

I'm sure you guys are right; patience is a virtue. Or so I'm told, I didn't have time to read the whole proverb.

So many of you helping me out, I feel a bit like Tom Sawyer painting Aunt Polly's fence.

No-no-I reckon it wouldn’t hardly do, Ian. You see, I'm awful particular about this car - it’s got to be done very careful; I reckon there ain’t one guy in a thousand, maybe two thousand, that can do it the way it’s got to be done.
