GEE35X...As Promised Big Nickel Pics!
Took a drive up to Dynamic Earth home of the Big Nickel in Sudbury and grabbed some pics this morning.

Worlds biggest nickel and coin...lol

View of the Vale-Inco smelter complex from the Big Nickel. The "Super Stack" is 380m tall or 1,247ft. Constructed in 1972.
The world's largest stack until 1987.

Hey Great pics, thanks.
That thing is massive, I wondered if it was still there.
I bet a lot of people have never seen a Canadian 5 cent piece (nickel) that huge.
I might head to the land of the big nickel this summer for a drive.

Very nice.... it's been a while since I've seen that.
Last time I was there, I was surprised how much greener the area was.
It used to look like a moon scape.

Yes, it blows my mind how green the city has become in the last twenty years! They have been mining nickel here for over a hundred years! Before environmental controls where in place the emissions basically destroyed nearly all plant life and acidified every lake. Now the city in conjunction with the mining companies have really done a good job and they have won many awards even been on the CBC.

I've wondered if the car was slightly dropped myself! I really haven't had a good look underneath the car. I will let you know if I find any non-OEM stuff. I bought the car in T.O and all know is that it was never winter driven. A guy at my local lube shop told me that. It was originally purchased at Agincourt Nissan in T.O.
Thanks for the inquiry, now it has me wondering???
