thanks for listening guys, will keep posting as I have updates...

I went to the steeles / islington location, I seriously doubt there's engine damage, I caught it relatively early on, I don't remember the oil light coming on...

Sorry to hear the mess. If you cannot get Cash for compensation, I would probably ask for compensation for around 20-30 oil changes free of charge. Use these freebies on your beater winter car. Lifetime is unreasonable to say the least. Furthermore, you should negotiate that if your experiencing engine problems later on, that full compensation for the fixes would be appropriate.

I concurr with the rest of the posters on here, never ever take your G to them again.

the problem with this is you would have to keep risking your vehicle to their shoddy workmanship.

You are correct. Well, I guess if you have a second car or a beater it can be transferrable.

IMO, everywhere you go it's different. The Mr. Lube I go to drained at least 9 litres of Jmatic out of my tranny and put in the same amount. The stealership will do 5 for the same price. I watch what they do and make my presence felt. Some shops are sht and others are not. I highly doubt they would ever take a chance of Fup on this car again.

Come to think of this, if the manager fails to compensate fairly. You can hire a lawyer but it wont come cheap.

Or a lawyer that does free until he wins the case, if he loses the case, he gets nothing. One of those newbie lawyers.

I don't think I'm going to go through the hassle of lawyering up...

I think I'm gonna try to ask for the cases of synth / filters and see where that goes...

G's going under the knife tomorrow, hope she comes out ok

Good plan. People that suggest using a lawyer probably have no experience with them. Their fees make a small claim like this prohibitive. An initial consultation would be worth more than your compensation. If you were replacing an engine etc it might make sense.

& Sam, I have to agree with Wayne;
Mr Lube is only as good as the next one they screw up.

Well boys, seems you're right again. I asked Vic to do an oil change as well as lots of other stuff and he told me the filters Mr. Lube used, and that they told me were OEM were pieces of tihs and would let particles through to damage my sensors. NO MR L for me

so the rental I got was surprisingly fun

it's no G, that's for sure!

here's my door fixed up, I'm happy with how it came out...
as for settlement... apparently I already got that tech fired, and the manager was willing to do my next synth oil change personally, let me go under and work on it as well... flat out refused the case of oil idea o well, at least my door's back in shape...
