Want to ship something to the US.....first time
Well it looks like I have a buyer for my camber kit only thing is he's in Florida and I've never shipped anything before
, what is the best and safest way to ship something to the US? should I ask what fees I will have to pay besides the shipping fee? some info would be great

If you go online to the UPS site (I know, I know...) there's some info. (&forms)
You have to fill out an export form in duplicate to go on the outside of the carton.
Like the ones you get on shipments from the US.
then insure as you see fit...

ship canada post and declare as gift, value under $100. This will cost you slightly more shipping than UPS, but at least you and the buyer wont have to deal with RIP OFF brokerage charges or customs fees. I do it all the time when I ship to US, and that's the only way I purchase something from the US (USPS)

What I've done in the past when I've sold a few bulkier items on ebay (and based on how close you are to the border) is to drive the item over the border and ship from the US side. Obviously, you should calculate in the gas and/or time spent and relay that to the seller, but with the savings in having avoided using a courier service from Canada and all the duties/customs for them. Shipping will be far more reasonable and you can insure and such.
The border won't be a problem heading in, since its your own property and all they'll care about (on the US side) is what your purpose of your visit is. I took a laserdisc player in a huge box over the Peace Bridge and they didn't even blink. I couldn't even fit it in my trunk, so it was in the backseat of my car with the bench down! Also, if push comes to shove, see where your parts came from. If you got them from the States, then duty has already been paid on them and you shouldn't get dinged twice. But I don't think you'll have an issue coming over with them, its having to prove it to the Cdn side if you came BACK with them.
Now, remember this is all contingent on how easily you can get over the border. If you are FAR away, then this is kind of pointless.
Just another option,
