We get our garbage picked up every two weeks here. I have a neighbour that lives directly across the street from me that when he leaves his garbage at the end of the driveway for pickup, he takes it out the night before and leaves the garbage bags completely uncovered. What happens is that the crows get into the garbage bags and there is garbage everywhere. It always blows onto my property and all other neighbours properties. He'll get home from work and clean up the garbage in HIS yard, but no one elses. This really bugs me that he doesn't have the common courtesy to pick up his other garbage on our properties.
This has been happening all summer and I got fed up with it. I went out this morning and picked up the garbage from my property and two others and dumped it on this guy's front step. I also put a note on his door asking him to either cover his garbage bags or to pick up all of the garbage from the neighbour's properties. I signed it too so he knows it's from me. The guy actually seems to be a decent guy, but I've had enough of his lack of courtesy. I am anxious to see what happens next garbage day in two weeks.

IDK why some people are like that...
we had one a while back that was a PITA, thank goodness he moved on.

Shane, good for you, I would have done the same.
Hope it gets resolved.
Years ago two neighbors down the street got into a little feud over the guys St Bernard. The dog would go over and crap on the neighbors lawn all the time. That neighbor repeatedly complained to his next door neighbor. Well the dog crapped all over the guys lawn one day and he had enough. These patties were huge and sloppy
. He went to his shed and got the shovel, he then proceeded to take shovel load by shovel load over to the dog owner's house. He plastered all the brick work at the front of the guys house with it. Then rang the doorbell and when the neighbor answered he said "Your dog's been crapping in my yard again" Then he just looked up at the guys house and walked away. Solved the problem
True story.

Sorry to hear about your situation Shane.
that's good you dump the garbage back onto his property (step).
I had a similar situation last week when some nimrod dump 7 bags of garbage in front of my lawn, called the city, they came to investigate, found out it was people who were living behind me. They got a hefty amount of money to pay from the City of Toronto($2500).

Wanna come down to the lower 48 and be my neighbor
He got his neighborly warning.
Next time report it. There are probably a couple of municple
agencies that would cover it like sanitation, health and oh

Sorry to hear about your inconsiderate neighbour. You did the right thing and I hope that he get's the message.
We had some new people move in a couple doors down for us. They are renting the house and the flocks of teenagers that are hanging outside their place from all hours is getting ridiculous. I'm all for having fun, but revving a motorcycle, blowing off fireworks causing a lot of noise all between 11 PM to 3 AM is getting on my nerves. My wife and I cannot even enjoy being outside because all I hear is f this f that and that's from the parents! The cops have been called a couple of times. They have now "reserved these activities" for Friday and Saturday.
Wayne, that story is hilarious!!

I live in a town home, my garage is detached in the rear of the property. About 6 weeks ago, a new person moved in right next door. Single mom, seems like a nice lady but man is she a friggen slob! She puts her garbage out DAYS before pick up and just piles and piles it on. She essentially piles her garbage on the wrong side of her house (the side where her home and mine meet) and in the mornings I open my garage to find half her crap blocking my exit. Between the wind, kids, animals etc... the crap whinds up everywhere. If she took the time to break down her boxes, properly package her garbage and pile it on the side of her home where there is actually space to do so I wouldn't care so much. She's just lazy and ignorant that way and I have been meaning to tell her only she's MIA the past few days.
Heres a pic of her garbage, pick up was this past wednesday morning and it was only blue and green bin, this stuff has been sitting out there for week already, will be 2 weeks on Tuesday. Honestly, pick a side and get organized.
This actually looks decent now cause I took some time to organize this and compact it for her to get it out of my way this morning but you should of seen it before, sheit was scattered everywhere!

you can see to the right how much space she has

Shot of the rest of the nieghbours, nobody else puts their garbage out 2 week early....

LOL. I watched out my living room window as my neighbour came home from work earlier today. When he walked up on his front step, he was looking down at the garbage for what seemed like 15 seconds or so. I couldn't see his face since his back was to me, but I can only imagine that he had a confused look on his face.
He pulled my sticky note off of his door, read it, and then went inside. Funny enough, his wife was out less than 10 minutes later picking up all of the garbage I dumped on their front step. What a lazy @zz this guy is.
Nice move Shane. We're a bunch of nice respectful people. Giggity, I might not be as nice as you. She might find that her garbage regularly fell or was knocked over by the wind to block her driveway. She would soon keep it all on the other side.
Great story Wayne, any pics?
