Service at Nissan?

Service at Nissan?
Does it really matter if I service my G at Infiniti or Nissan? There's a new Nissan dealership so close to my house, I want to move there for service now.
I'm located in Edmonton Alberta. The new Nissan place I'm talking about is Mills Nissan.
Anybody have any luck with them?
Also I'm due for my 48000km service... Its about $1000 for this. I'm thinking mainly on labour. Does it seem right?
Replacement of engine oil and replacement of the filter
Rotation / verification of the tires wear and verification of pressure
Verification of all the fluid levels and verification of the presence for any leakage
Verification of the clutch (manual transmission only)
Inspecting all the lights and the controls
Verification of the height of the brake pedal
Adjusting of the inlet / exaust valves (except the hydraulic type)
Lubricating the locks, latches, hinges and door's slides, for the hood and the trunk
Verification of the exaust system
Verification of the brake cable and the hose
Verification of the brake pads, the disks and linings
Replacement of the differential oil (self adjusting types only)
Remplacement of the air gas and RGC filters
Replacement of the air cooling liquid
Verification of the steering and the suspension components
Verification the driving belts
Verification of the timing (except the self-tuning)
Verification of the axles, the ventilator fan and the shafts
Verification of the gas and vapor hoses the conducts, the cables and the joints
Verification and the lubrication of the front wheel's bearing's
Verification of the exaust system (if applicable)
Filling the windshiled washer

I live in MA, about 2 minutes from a Nissan dealership. They will not do warranty work. Only maintenance stuff (oil changes, etc). I asked about warranty work: I can make the appointment with them (with no loaner car), and they will drive it to the Infiniti dealership (which is what i have been doing WITH loaner car).
For me, I’ll just bring my car to Infiniti myself (with me driving, not some punk technician beating the crap out of my car), and get the loaner car.

many people go to nissan for routine maintenance. you will be fine. after all, infiniti's are nissans with the same drivetrain as a 350Z. they don't do infiniti warranty work, but will do the oil changes etc. in house.
$1000 for the 48K is crazy. it's almost all in labour for a myriad of "checks" & "inspections", like your list indicates. i had mine done in Vancouver last year for ~$300, which was still a rip off but I had a few warranty things that needed to be done...

That charge is way out of wack. I just had a detailed inspection for $99. Your oil, diff, coolant and filters replacement shouldn't be more than another 2-$300.

^ it's good you didn't blow $1K on the service. try and use a common-sense, diplomatic approach when working with dealers. and if that fails, say "no" to whatever they are suggesting, and ask us on g35driver.
dealers often embelish what has to be done to keep your car properly serviced. just do what the owner's manual dictates, other than the inevitable mods
