G37 Convertible

I didn't see this posted in the other forums, and maybe it belongs somewhere else but I thought I would share my find with my Canadian bretheren first.

This looks fantastic.

I have seen this pic in the last issue of the Automag I subscribe to it would be amazing if they made a drop top in this car

From what we can see in that small pic I'm having a hard time seeing that as sexy. I want to but it's not doing it.

A Sebring and a Solara?

Wow, you guys must know my co-worker who thinks the G37 looks like a Tiburon.

Tiburon or Sebring no.

Solara, definite similarities on the vert.

Dunno, maybe it's just me but I don't see the similiarities with the Solara at all.

Those are good comparison shots Shane.

I still see a fair bit of similarities. Granted the G has smaller overhangs and is more rounded F&R but it sure shows some of the same cues in vert form. I think it's the rear quarter and the lower sills.

IMHO the G loses even more of it's "sport".

Agreed.

The 350Z ragtop suffered the same fate. The clean coupe lines were lost, as is almost always the case when the car is first designed as a hardtop.

The g37 and too some extent even the second gen g35 have lost a fair share of their "aggressive" nature. I really wondered why, then I realized that Infiniti realized that the majority of the new G buyers are a little bit older (50+), and may be more keen on the conservative look as opposed to the more agressive look.

Either way the g37 back end is just brutal and defintely borrowed some cues from the solara.

Have to agree, OAK, to most people the G is just a nice-looking appliance and they don't want to stand out too much.
