What's a decent offer for an 05' X3 3.0L with premium package, 50000km in GTA

Hello,

I know this is probably not the best forum to ask this type of questions (duh...). but I have posted the same questoin on various Bimmer forums and I dind't get too much information there.... so here I am just wondernig maybe i can ask some G35 guys for help..

so I am shoppping for a 2005 X3 3.0L with premium pacakge, about 50,000-60,000km for my girlfriend.. Given that I have never owned a BMW before.. .. i just wanna get an idea how much should I make my offer so that it sounds fair and i won't get my *** kicked out by the dealer... note that I will be looking for a Canadian car in Toronto area. buying it from U.S. is not an option here......

from what i understand.. all used BMW sold by the BMW dealer have gone through this CPO thing .. ..is that program itself worth the extra money compared to buying it from an avaerage-Joe-used-car dealer??

the reason why i recommend my girl to go for the 05 is becasuse i know that close to 70% of BMW sales are leasing so that getting an 05' model right now (in 2008 , 3 years off the lease) woudl give me the biggest bargaining power due to the extra supply in the market.

any advice is appreciated!

Don't let the model year deceive you. Alot of 05's were made and sold in 2004. Which means you may not have that extra year of warranty.
