A winter meet would be great, but we need to do something;
....too damn cold to hang around a parking lot.

What snows are you running on your G? Cuz I've got Blizzaks and I'm not liking them. Ain't worth a **** on a snowy hill. I got stuck last Friday. I eventually made it up but it took a while.

Oh, well...16" will NOT fit on my car. The smallest I can use is 18" cuz of the size of my front brakes.

GEE35X has WS60s on 17s (purely a snow/ice tire and the best Blizzak at this time).
I have Blizzak LM22 performance winter tires on 17s, three years old but this is only the second time used. The new ones out now are model LM25.

- Note that we also have AWD G35Xs.

How wide of a tire did you go with?

Try a little extra weight in the back.

FWIW, I'd recommend swapping the salt for sand.

...if the salt leaks at all & gets down into crevices, it'll lead to corrosion.

+1 on that, if the bag happens to split or tear, good luck keeping the rust bunnies out of your trunk

WTH, do you guys believe the weather. 8 degrees and raining. Well, I jumped out of bed and hurridlly got an appointment to get my winter ( Hankook ) shoes on. Got them balanced as well. So .... if the weather is reasonable I can/will bring my G out. That includes a winter meet if we aren't standing out in some parking lot. A short cruse and a bite might suffice.
