Flames at Oilers Oct/18th

I'll be driving to Edmonton to attend this game and watch my Oilers hopefully kick some butt! Is anyone else planning to attend? Also can anyone recommend a reasonable hotel either close to Rexall (NOT The Coliseum, F**king dump) or real close to an LRT station pickup for easy travel without driving around?

There are a few on gateway bllvd north just off the whitemud, its a bit of a taxi ride to the game but thats where I usually stay or at the mall that has it all. Coast terrace INN, Greenwood INN are two that I know of there maybe a Super 8 there as well.

Thanks Sylvan. I think I am going to book downtown and jump on the LRT. Seems like the best option for me and all the beers I plan to consume!

Watching pre-season Oilers/Canucks on Center Ice right now.. The power play looks good to me! Vishnovski to Souray, Souray shoots he scores!! Then right after that Souray shoots, Cole scores!! Looking forward to a great year.

No I was at a concert recently and got drunk on staduim draft. I have never been that sick from drinking draft in my life! I wouldnt mind coming down to see a Shames game live I am a Big Bert fan I would like to see him play live even though he is a shadow of the player he was before the "Incedent".

Yeah Bert has never quite been the same player. I used to love watching his style of play.

On the stadium draft, maybe they don't clean the lines to the tap regular enough. Good to know, I'll try and order something they have to pour from a bottle if I can.
