The price of Regular gas an hour drive from my house is $.998/L That is Owen Sound.

In Kincardine where I live it is $1.169/L
A few weeks ago it was $1.379

Figure that out, it is another hour further north that they have to ship it. My town is always the most expensive in the area. I never buy it here, I always drive at least 1/2 hour away to fill up.

When will this price gauging end

 

It never made any sense to me either Wayne. As to when, IMHO never. The companies will always try to get the most from us.

 

Our gas prices have gone down for two straight Thursdays in a row. We are currently at $1.19 for 87.

 

we're still at 132.1 here in Vancouver. that's down from 152.1 a week and a half ago. gas usually drops by 5 cents in the evenings, but always increases for the next morning.

OP - i'm sure you've done the cost-benefit, but do you still save money driving 1 hour round trip (including fuel consumed + your time) to fuel up? i ask this because many people near the border here drive over the line to fuel up. often there are huge lineups (idling + time) which makes me question if the trip pays.

Yes, it is worth my while. I only buy the gas when I have to go that way in the car, and in my truck I usually fill up 6 five gallon Jerry cans along with the truck.
This weekend I will hopefully be getting enough to fill my boat, it takes 400 liters.

$1.249 here in Sudbury for regular. $1.37 or so for Premium.

 

1.22.9 to 1.25.9 here in Halifax/Dartmouth for regular. Consistently in the top 2-3 highest cities in Canada.

 

I can understand why you travel! I assume you tow the boat to fill it or do you have some other huge tank? What kind of fuel consumption does your boat have? What is the motor again?

 

Depending on the price when I am ready to store it. I either tow it if it is a good price near by, if it's not I usually pick up a an extra 125 liters in my jerry cans and keep topping it up.
I run a 250 HP injected Outboard. It is a 2003 motor so it seems as efficient as my 350 GM engine I had in my last boat.
I use the main to travel to fishing spots and run a 9.9 high thrust 4 stroke auxiliary motor for trolling.
During the previous 2 years I used between $900-$1,000 worth of regular in the boat for the season, which isn't too bad.

Well, it's Friday night and gas prices are on the rise here. I'm glad I bought some earlier today, I was going to purchase a bunch more tomorrow but alas, too late .

 

I wouldn't complain about gas prices yet, the worse is yet to come. I have already been preparing since the beginning of summer to pay for $2/L. Good thing I did, I never had trouble filling up even at $1.50/L. I need gasoline to fuel my enjoyment of driving, or I wouldn't even live.

 

Nice outfit, Wayne! I'll bet you get to the best spots first. $1.21 here today. Not a killer for me currently since I ride my bike more than I drive my car, it seems.

 

Well, the gas prices in my neighbouring town have been pretty good (not in my town )
The price for 1 L of gas has been $0.93 for regular during the last week. This is in Port Elgin, 37 kms away, which is where I usually fill up.
