Looking for winter rims and tires
Hi Folks,
New to the forum and wished to see if this place was okay for getting some winter rims..any feedback would be appreciated !

Also looking for some new winter tires..I hear that the w.drive yoko's are good and looking to get me a set of those. Although I have read the feedback on the usual ones goodyear ultra's, Pilot Alpin's, Blizzak's, X-Ice..all good tires.
I drive in Toronto, Markham and Richmond Hill, and have a 2008 g35x awd. Not looking to get something mushy or has too soft a tread that wears out, more on the performance side since i think the awd should make going around pretty easy..

I like the Michelin Pilot Alpin2 on my x. They work great on AWD in the winter and outperform the OE RSAs on dry roads too (smoother, quieter, better "on-center" and cornering).
Michelin PA2's are good. Had them on my mazda before and they don't wear out quickly. However I just got Blizzaks on my G37S. I went with 18's

thanks for the advice guys, greatly appreciated. I got the w.drive's ...they seem to handle very good. now the TPMS is acting up, do we need to purchase the sensors or can we reset the warning lite..or do i need to put up with the lite for the next 5 months?
Where did you get your wheels/tires from? Do you mind to tell how much you paid? I am also looking as well. Thx.

Well, if you put your tires on aftermarket rims, your car isn't detecting your TPMS's so the light's going to be on all the time. I haven't heard from anywhere where you can turn that off. I could be wrong...
I was pissed off the first day cuz I forgot about that. I thought I had a nail in the tire already. lol. Until I went to check the tire pressure and they were all ok and then it hit me. haha. Sucks I had to get wet in the rain to figure that out.

Check 1010tires.com...canadian company outta Richmond BC. Ordered 18 inch Dunlop M3s for the wifes RX-8 for just over a grand...can probably build a reasonable package depending on the size you want.
ps - running the Dunlops on her 8 and my G for 2 winters now in Saskabush with zero problems - far superior to Blizzaks (f'ing junk) and equal/better than Michelin Alpines - especially on dry.

Where did you get it from Chris? Just bought a 06 G coupe and this is the exact set up i'm looking for.
