Don't you love...

Don't you love how when gas prices dropped, no one is asking around the forums if it's safe or OK to put regular in our cars?

Is it okay to put 87 in my car or will it damage it? I know it will time it so it won't misfire but will it be baddd?

Pretty sure the computer will detune the engine enough to allow regular fuel usage, but I don't believe it's recommended and when you figure in the reduced performance and gas mileage on regualar fuel, there's not much point in burning cheaper fuels.
Just stick with what Nissan recommends and keep your engine happy..

I think elayman knows the answer his question. He just jumped this thread to pull our pi$$er

It is nice that we don't hear that too often right now though.

As far as I know its fine. I did it last summer when I filled a 5L jerry can for my LAWN MOWER and I may do it again for my SNOWBLOWER. If you put it in the G's gas tank you may suffer from retarditus ..... of your ignition sequence that is. BWTFDIK

its actually sad when in summer i used to drive a lot because i just got the g, whole tank was costing me 90 bucks , now i dont drive that much and it cost 55-60 bucks. hopefully with this economy the oil might go lower than that till at the end of summer.

when the gas prices was at the worst level, i heard in toronto especially in gta , there was a new kind of driving style, which they were calling them like "stalling drivers " who started driving so slow during the traffic because of the high gas prices. it was so annoying.
