Castrol syntec 5W-40
Hi guys,
Friend gave me 6L of Castrol 5W-40 oil. Should I use them for my winter oil change or should I just keep them for the next oil change and buy something like Mobil 1 5W-30 ? It can get pretty cold here during winter in Montreal

Altho not recommended by Nissan, theoretically it should be fine since the 40 weight refers to the hot thickness but to be safe I'd save it for the next change when temps are a little warmer towards spring.
