Romancing the G

So, today, I fell in love with my G all over again.

My daily commute involves a lot of stop and go traffic. So I don't neccessarily enjoy the engine, but moreso the comfort. Well, today, there was some kind of jam up on the road.

Luckily, I could see the jam up from the road and decided to grab the on ramp as it was absolutely clear sailing from there. Let me tell you ... I took the ramp nice and decent, soon as I was 3/4's of the way down the ramp I opened it up and literally flew down the highway.

Was absolutely spectacular. She was purring and just asking for more. Felt absolutely fantastic and made me fall in love with her all over again.

Just thought I'd share that with you all and see if you've had any experiences like that.

Did you put it away Sam, or do you still drive it on nice days?

I planned to drive it on nice days. I also planned to make room in the garage for it. In addition, I had planned on putting on my winters. These were not what I call well laid plans. I had not planned on Old Man Winter making such a quick entry.
I think searching for the decals put my whole planning schedule off.
Now I'm hoping on shoeing her the first chance I get and I think I can make room in the garage if I hit it at about 60 km with the jeep first.

Yes, that's what I miss about my G. Hitting third gear and watching it fly. In storage. Week #5.

I stored it the first two winters. This is my first winter with it and I was debating if I should tuck it away.

It's this kind of stuff that just makes it harder to store ... C'est la vie.

I find myself 'positioning' when approaching an on-ramp. Once even pulled over to let the truck ahead clear out of the way. That's when I knew.

I love going wide open throtle at times with my car, and taking ramps fast....but the idiot in me wants an even faster, better handling car next (C6 Corvette).
