Phillips 6000k HID bulbs

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has put these bulbs in on their G35's and if there's a big difference brightness or if this is just a waste of cash? I have a 06 G..

i have owned two sets one for my 05 lights and for my 06 projectors. They are a little pricey but i love the colour of them. One of the best bulbs you can get IMO

A 2 second Google search would have helped. Please don't pass on false information if you are not sure.

6000k is a higher temp and gives more of a blue/purple color but has less overall output. Your 4300k oem bulbs have more output.

I was told by many others that 6000k's were not much of a difference than the stock I was told 8000k was the way to go if your after the colour. Anyone have pics of the difference between the 2?

I don't have any shots on the road but here are the lights:

I have tried 4300k and 5000k bulbs and both had more output but with two sets of projectors it is still like daylight with 6000k.

6000k are cool looking (ok for city driving), but useless ( infact dangerous) when driving on the highway. They don't light as far enough as the 4300K. Its even worse when its fogy or snowy, too much diffraction and they will make you fall asleep behind the wheel.

When you have two pairs of them in some of the best projectors made (S2k and TL)... I disagree. Maybe in the oem headlights without projectors.

I agree they are not as bright but they still put out more than enough to always light my way.

I got 8K on my G. I love it. 6K is the whitest you can get. 4300 is a little bit yellowish.
8K is on the bluish side.
Trend in US now is 3K to 3500 (yellow) HIDs on fog lights.

Your right they do make Ultinon's , but they are not marketed as a colour but a brand name . I should have been clearer .

For layman's sake they make the normal D2 bulbs and then the ultinons but many people defraud others by saying they are original phillips in a different colour and that is no where near the truth.
Phillips makes
4100k d2s 85122
4300k d2r 85126
add a + at the end of the part #'s and it is already cloour shifted for around 4500-5000k colour shifted for single bulb replacement.

The proper term is to use the brand name for them and not the supposed colour .

Quick question , you said you have 2 sets of ulitnon's in your headlights? What bulb model are the second set since it is not d2r, s or c.
Do you have an adaptor or the bulb is made that way ?
