^what size tires are you looking at? With my OEM 18x8 and 245 45 18's rears there is excessive center wear on the tire even with slightly lower tire pressures than recommended.

If you're looking at that tire width or greater I would recommend 8.5" wide rims.

i was thinking 245 45 18's for tires. i was not aware of excessive center tire wear. what tire pressure do u run with that size? 30psi or high or lower? i run 35 with my stock rim and tire on the street. but 25 at track. the rims i am looking at dont offer alot of differnt sizes. on 8" in a 18" rim... kinda sucks but it is what it is.
also what are some good street and strip tires. that is the purpose of the car. daily driver/ drag car.

I run 33-34 with 35 being the OE recommendation. The center wear is common on the 18" x 8" OE set up with that size tire. The staggered smaller front works fine though.

Sorry I can't help with suggestions on a tire for both those purposes.

i dont plan on running a staggered setup, to much work.. kinda. i might get a bfg kdw or falken azenzie 615. how bad is the tire wear problem? how many months would u get on a set of tires. i would only be using for 6 months or so at a time.

I'm going to estimate the center wear issue reduces tire life by about 20-25%. There's plenty on the outer 1/4's while the center is getting thin. Tire wear will vary by type and by mileage. My PS2's I have on currently have about 15k kms. The rears will be due in 2-3k and the fronts will probably go another 8-10k. I'm not familiar with the tires you mentioned so can't help with a comparison.
