Blinking Side Marker Mod-From Yorkville Infiniti

Just got my side markers (front bumper) modded to blink with the turn signal lights on my G35 Coupe.

Lights in off position = Side Marker blink at the same time with front and rear turn indicators.

Only parking lights on = Side Markers blink alternating with front and rear turn indicators.

Full lights on = Side Markers blink alternating with front and rear turn indicators.

Hazard Signal = Both side markers blink alternating with front and rear turn indicators.

This should have been a standard feature from Infiniti for safety and raising the cool factor

Thanks for a very clean mod from Jerry at Yorkville Infiniti. Only cost an hour labour. For those that can't be bothered with getting done on your own - give Jerry at call (416) 975-2623, infinitiservice@dfcauto.com. You'd be happy you did - just like me!

Is your parking light the Daytime running lights???

The reason I am asking this is that I want to mod the car so that the little light bulb between the DRL and the low beam would light up immediately when I start the car, turn off when DRL is on and on again when the Xenon is on.

Any ideas??

No, the parking lights are not the daytime running lights. The parking lights is the second setting on your lighting stalk - From off to Auto, then Parking (next is full lights).

I don't know why you would want the setup you're describing. Because when you start the car and the parking brake is disengaged, the DRL would automatically come on. At this point the parking lights would be off which is what you want.

Why have the parking lights come on for the time between starting the car and having the DRL's come on?

The parking lights would come on anyways if you have full lights switched on or on Auto.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your description.

This post is about setting up your side markers so they become a signal light as well.

I am not sure if it would turn on in auto.
I really didnt know.
I want it to light up because it would look good if you replace that small bulb with a blue LED that they are selling at my350z.com. It would look blue when the parking light is on itself and it would be a good combo with the Xenon.

It will turn on in Auto mode. Not sure if this applies to US Models.

If you want your parking lights to be on, simply turn your lighting stalk to the parking lights mode.

I just checked. That little bulb doesnt turn on in auto mode. Its the high beam (DRL) with a low current. The small bulb only turns on when the Xenon is on.

It takes about an hour to do, which is $92.00 plus taxes. If you would like to have this done give me a call 416-975-2623

How do you take a still pic of a blinking side marker? Drop by the next meet on July 25 and you can see for yourself how cool it is.

But if you can't wait and want to check it out, copy the link to view a short video to get a good idea of the end result.

2. Blinking Side Marker Mod-Lights On

Like I said, this should have been OEM on the car. But I still don't think Infiniti would have caught on so doubt this will be on the 2005's. Maybe they can still surprise us.
