We took a trip to Oakville yeaterday to try out a Lexus IS350, an 05' BMW545 6spd and a 330i 6spd. The IS350 was an amazing ride and QUICK but the price was way out of his range and he didn't like the paddle shift it didn't give quick enough shifts, if the IS350 was offered in manual it would have been his choice hands down. We went over to Budds BMW to try a couple of Bimmers the 545i and the 330i sport pkg, the 545 was powerfull but it felt like I was driving a maxima the throws were long and the car dint feel nimble like the 3 series and the Lexus which leads us to the 330i its nimble fast has great smooth shifts and is the right size price my Bro is looking for, my only beef with the car is the plane dash layout. I can't understand when journalists say that Infiniti has lower quality interiors
my freakin' 2000 Golf had a nicer layout and same quality interior as the 05' Bimmer we tested. So his decision has been made for the 330i 6spd he's just not sure if he wants the sedan or the coupe, I personaly like the coupe with the M package.

That should be a nice car Roy. That will be a nice switch from his Maxima.

Coupe with M package is really nice. My buddy has one, I really like the ride and 255 hp to boot isn't bad
.
.The 330i 6spd, is a great car Roy.
JMO, but I'm with you on the coupe with the M package.

My cousin bought a used black 330i sedan last summer looks real nice. I can't wait till she lets me take it for a spin. She is itching to do drive my G. It will have to wait for summer though, when I drive down to Nova Scotia for summer vacation.

I like the choice. I agree with BMW's interior, it is really plain. I love the 2 door, but nothing beats the convienince of a 4 door, I guess it really comes down to what he prefers.
Well he's going this week to take a look at 2 in the GTA one is an 06' 4dr manual white on black sport pkg and the other is an 05' red coupe with M pkg, I'll keep you posted if anything happens.

the dash board of bmw , i dunno if they are just making an excuse not to spend enough, since they say "we still want to keep the classic 90s dash board in the newer models "
i agree it gives you that 90s feeling but, come on bimmer, look at the frickin m6, its interior gives u a million dollar mansion feelin when u sit inside.
i think bimmer has to give up on the conservative ideas for the dashboard, its time bmw needs new interior in its 1 and 3 series

This morning my bro calls me "wanna go look at a car with me?" of course I yes so we head down to Erinwood Ford.....Yes Ford to look at an 06' SALEEN MUSTANG
, now I'm not much of a mustang fan but when it comes to a Saleen its a whole different ball game. This one was Red and it was supercharged 430hp and 400+lb/ft Torque, it only had 29,000km on it and it was in great shape. We took the car out for a drive and the power was nice although I thought there would be more neck snaping performance it actually felt sluggish on the highway....but off the light.....WOW
that supergharger makes a world of difference. My only dislike was the cheap crappy interior, man Ford realy has to get it together in terms of fit and finnish in my eyes it would have turned me off buying the car but my bro couldn't get over the power and the amazing looks of the car. When we were out on the test drive people were looking at the car like we were in a Viper. We sat down to make a deal and the sales mannager didn't want to budge on the $37,000 sticker price, it had no warranty, and they offered chump change for his Maxima so he walked away and the search continues......

I went to Erinwoods web site and had a look at the Mustang, it does look pretty nice and all those ponies are sweet, but just as well he walked away. THats a lot of money for a used ford with no warranty.

I agree with you I hate the BMW interiors. The rest of my family seem to love BMW though. Infiniti for life!
