Bodykit help

Hi,
I recently purchase a Nismo bodykit for my 03 Sedan. I'm looking at the instructions and it looks like rocket science. Has anyone installed this kit on their car? I'm usually good at these things, but I don't know what the deal is with this bodykit.

Can you come over and help a brother out? I am in Brampton. Compensation for your expertise will greatly considered. Beer...cash...let me know.

Thanks...

I just installed the front bumper myself, it actually wasn't that bad. the sides should be easy. But I heared that the rear is pretty hard to install.
Did you get it painted it already?

My kit came in Caribbean Blue (G35AA's group deal). I did not have to paint, since I am one of the few owners on here that own a Caribbean Blue G35 Sedan.

Anybody want to help me?

I had a friend help me out today with installing the bodykit. The bumper took approximately 3.5 hours to install, considering we were following the instructions to the T/tea/tee. If we had an idea of how to do it, I'm sure it would have taken no longer than an hour.

The sideskirts were a bit tricky as well, mostly because the car was not jacked or on a hoist. Both skirts took a total of about an hour.

We didn't have time to install the rear apron, but from looking at the instructions, it looks like it might take some time to install. Probably around 2 hours I figure.

The colour matched perfectly, and looks real nice.

I'm not knocking on everyone's 2003-2004 G35 Sedan, but from seeing this Nismo bodykit on my car, and in front of my eyes, I am amazed at the difference in the look. The OEM bumper was not doing it for me, and I'm glad it is no more.

Now, I read somewhere that with the Nismo bodykit, more so the bumper, there is more air noise, and from driving home a few minutes ago, I did notice that. Part of the install required removing the front air ducts so I'm sure this had something to do with it.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this bodykit and the look of it. I will try to post some pics up soon.

Mine is a bright silver (not sure of the name) its quite common along with black soo I'm not sure.

Trinni, The rear Apron is a PITA I haven't installed mine yet because it has to be painted, I was at my buddy's house who will be painting it, you have to drill 7 holes in the lower part of the bumper to mount the rear apron * make sure there in the perfect spot or it won't line up properly...good luck.
A word of advice to those with meatalic and/or Pearl paints, if you have to repaint this kit to match your car you will either have to blend in the sides and rear part of your car or it may take 3+ times for the shop to paint it to get it even closely matched with your factory paint trust me I've been through this before.
My guy will do either or for you if you want, you have 3 options
1. he paints the kit and blends in your sides and rear to match perfectly.
2. you sign a waver saying you accept it if it doesn't match and he will paint the skirts and give them back to you for you to install.
3. same as option 2 but he will install them.

Note if you go with option 1 you will be without your car for minumum of 2 weeks. This guy does a great job and after 3 tries matched the paint 95% on mine.
I'm not sure about pricing you'll have to contact him, PM me ifyour interested.

Ya but if you follow the templates given it will line up, one advantage that may get you away from painting half the car is the black rubber strip that goes along the sides and rear, that may help seperate any offset of colour JMO.
