I think my tires are getting old....

I've noticed everytime I put the tire shine on my tires it soaks it like a sponge I can't get them to stay golssy. I'm using a sponge (aplicator) now maybe I should try a spray or foam.

Any advice?

What kind of tire shine are you using and what are the DOT numbers on the tires.

A friend of mine that collects old cars told me some of the guys would use baby oil to make their tires shine. I'm sure he wasn't joking either.
If it doesn't work, at least they would smell good!!!!

Wouldn't that eat away at the rubber? I just may try that, I'm also gonna try using silicone Lube I heard thats good for rubber.

i'm trying to remember where i heard this, i think it was my tire training course at goodyear when i worked there, but tireshines can actually reduce the life of the rubber.
