Question Found a Hidden button in my G!! wtf...

hey guys, i was tryin to take out my sprintbooster in order to reset the ECU without it and train the car properly when i came across this....

right above the foot-ebrake, i found a small black button. of course, my first reaction was to press it.... nothing happened.. tried pressing it several times while the car was on, still nothing.

i'm sure this was put in by the previous owner since infiniti wouldn't do something like this, but any ideas what it could be?

i'm open to hear any of your thoughts...

personally, from the way it was hidden (tucked up into the dash), maybe its a fuel cut? since i'm having my electrical work customized this wed, i'll be tracing this and keeping you guys updated.

ROFL... well.. it sure will be interesting after i do my trace.... watch it open up a weed storage compartment lol..... i'll be like.. officer.. i swear i didn't know about the hidden button that lifts my back seat upwards to the 50lbs of grass.

the wierd part is, it doesn't even stick out (not enough wire), and its all the way INSIDE the compartment and the ONLY way to get at it is 1. you already know its there so you try to feel for it with your hands.. 2. you gotta go all the way down and pull the panel in order to see it..

i had to pull it a bit , just to take the pic...

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope its the ejector seat!! i in need of it badly....

Find out where the wires for the switch goes to. If it did nothing, it's most likely nothing and disconnected by previous owner possibly for audio system or kill switch.

It looks to me like a valet switch for a car alarm. Does your car have an aftermarket alarm system still in the car. If so this switch is used to either shut off the alarm if you don't have the FOB or to put it in valet mode.

That's my guess.

looks like it's a valet switch for a viper (or similiar) alarm.

+1

My aftermarket alarm has the same button, to shut off the alarm in the event you dont have your FOB to unlock your car.

K I went to the car today morning and as I approached it, I got thrown back with a jolt of electricity. .... It's for personal forcefield.

Thanks guys...

Ya... It's probably a valet switch from the previous owner. Since I have compromised the location, I will have to have it moved
Tom for my new function for it (taser, j/k.... To shut off auto tinting if I'm at a car show ) ( variable tints)
