First pics of my car - 2003 Sedan 6MT

Finally gotten around to uploading a few pics. As some of you know, I recently bought a 2003 sedan with 6MT.

I first test drove a G in January and immediately loved it. Initially, the ones that I came across which were closer to my budget were beat up or in bad condition so I was very close to giving up my hope of owning a G. As I continued to search, none of the other used cars were appealing to me but the price I'd have to pay for one that still had life in it was maybe 2-3K less than what I paid for this one... so yep, when I came across this one, I caved in and spent a little more than I was planning initially because I knew I'd get more enjoyment out of it.

So here are the pics:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tosasha/3689784973/" title="DSC_0495-ED by D40Shooter2008, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3607/3689784973_047ea3bc8e.jpg" width="500" height="332" alt="DSC_0495-ED" /></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tosasha/3690587604/" title="DSC_0493 by D40Shooter2008, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2483/3690587604_c6ee413ffe.jpg" width="500" height="332" alt="DSC_0493" /></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tosasha/3689784455/" title="DSC_0492 by D40Shooter2008, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3540/3689784455_e9cde6ebf1.jpg" width="500" height="332" alt="DSC_0492" /></a>

Engine bay when I bought the car:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tosasha/3630366803/" title="DSC_0476 by D40Shooter2008, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2462/3630366803_3c3b515c5c.jpg" width="500" height="332" alt="DSC_0476" /></a>

After my friend did some cleaning of the engine bay using Simple Green, rags, and a tooth brush:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tosasha/3689783061/" title="DSC_0489 by D40Shooter2008, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2658/3689783061_230ac02968.jpg" width="500" height="332" alt="DSC_0489" /></a>

The car is definitely not in perfect condition, has a few blemishes, a door ding, etc around it but for the most part it's much better condition than what I saw. The interior is very clean considering it's the light tan colour. The previous owner definitely neglected keeping the engine bay area clean but that's probably the majority of car owners out there.

I'm planning on getting the windows tinted in the near future. I'm thinking of getting F1 Pinnacle 35% but still haven't decided for sure.

Well, that's all for now. The forum has been very informative since I got this car and go on here to read old posts and learn stuff!

Alex

it looks well for a 2003. make sure u check the engine with the mechanic before long drive. usually when people are selling their cars they become greedy and dont spend money on repairs. (i had to replace AC belt when i got my 2003 coupe last year ,but luckily i was covered by the dealer wo sold me)

congrats hope u have safe and fun time with the G

Thanks!

Oh yeah, the guy that I got it from was cheap... that was obvious! He did a lot of oil changes because he had free lifetime oil changes from Infiniti so that was good. He had the liquids replaced according to schedule as well as all the belts not to long ago.

But still, I know he was cheap, for example the in cabin filter was filthy... I'm 99% certain I replaced it for the first time when I got the car (did it myself, but I could see him wanting to save $100 and not doing it all this time). The engine air filter was also not all too clean. He told me coolant is due for replacement, the level is fine but I'm going to get it replaced myself as soon as I get a jack.

I've gotten over 1k kms on it since I got it about 2 weeks ago (not going to drive that much all the time)... but so far nothing too concerning. Gas mileage is what it should be or better than some, oil isn't going down (that was a concern after reading many posts even though I know it's more of an issue for the rev-up engines). I'm probably going to need the A/C refilled; when I turn it on I get cold air but it's not as cold as it would be when new. And going to get various things done myself over the summer (parking brake adjustment, get rid of some of the common rattle sounds for which I found TSBs, and so on).
