Toronto meet september 12th this saturday bbq-party
variable tints has been around quiet a while, but no one tried to go on mass production. its a special fluid where these particles inside absorbs the light. when you actually put an electric circuit inside the film, u can get different level of transparency by changing the angle of these particles.

Im down, but someone from west end needs to give me a lift seeing as I dont have a license!
and whyd u lose ure license
as musti pointed out.. there are various different companies that are approaching the market with the "concept".. however.. that bus uses a totally different tech which not only costs more, is no where near consumer friendly as the tech i'm using. I had several conversations with the developer of SmartGlass SPD and believe me, it would cost us around 20000$+ to get it done to our Gs.
though there is no water between my glasses lol.... and 2.. the particles do not absorb the light.. (they block it :P )
particles are between the glass, when there is current going through, the particles all align up and thus light passes through... when there is no current, they are randomized (scrambled) therefore, light cannot pass through as easily which is where you achieve the near 0% transparency.
this tech has been around before I was born.. believe it or not... developed first in france and THERE ARE COMPANIES THAT MASS PRODUCE THESE!!!! They have been doing that for a while too.... my work as well as many other office buildings in downtown have this tech in their boardrooms, etc... heck, a lot of the highend clubs have this tech for their washroom doors..

Now... the difference between the SmartGlass, AlphaGlass, and many other brands is the efficiency and ease of deployment... Some have extra features such as LED lightning, etc.
the way im' doing this is very similar, except, it will NOT COST YOU ~20000$ for a G coupe (installed) (and much much more for other larger vehicles)
that BUS has about 50,000$+ worth of SmartGlass on it. 5000$+ worth of electronics that control it... i'm sure.. most of you guys aren't planning on spending that much for Electrochromic glass lol....
ScreaminG, thanks for the compliment...
I'll try to set a date asap... How does September 5th sound? Saturday... and locations people....
i'll keep you guys posted !!!!
also.. i'm trying to set a date to get a photoshoot done.. (the random weather really isn't helping).... if anyone is interested in joinin up , that would be awesome!!! i want the photoshoot done asap..
