Yay Sways!

FINALLY got my hotchkiss sways in today!
I'm stoked! Weekend install project! Well more like Saturday, but might go into Sunday depending how many wobbly pops I consume in the process

Congrats on the new mod!
Installing new toys is always exciting!
If you don't mind me asking, where did you purchase it from and how much?
How stiff are you going to set it to?

Are you getting aftermarket endlinks and bushings with them as well? I've been itching to get some sways but I didn't like all that other stuff I'd have to buy with them, the money adds up real quick.

L23tan: got them from B2designs (or something like that) - they are a vendor on here, for 325US shipped to my my office 0 import fees
I think I'm going to set front to medium and rears to full on stiffy.
They took a while to get here though.
It appears he drop ships them. Service is alright from them, but they try to cover other people's mistakes which is fine but I think it makes them look like asses, but it's fine if you have patience and are in no rush.

Cat: no I'm not replacing endlinks or bushings. Just going straight in with them. same thing I did my nismo sways on my old sentra spec-v, I had that riding on rails by the time I got rid of it.

It's good that you didn't get charged any additional fees for your package to cross over the border and to your office.

Which Courier did it go by? USPS?

When you say it took a while... roughly how long did it take to get to you after you placed the order?

You also might want to lube the OEM Bushing when you install this.

Don't forget to take pics and post! I'd like to see the difference in bar size thickness and everything.

Thanks!

ok so I'm 3/4 of the way through the install.
front went in like butter not a single issue.
the rears are giving me a headache... one piece of advice from me to EVERYONE if you're thinking about doing sway bars. put them in BEFORE the aftermarket exhaust, now I have to take down 2/3 of the exhaust on the driver's side.
I'm thinking I'm going to wait until 5 take it to where I work and put the rear sway on there because I don't have enough jacks/stands around here and there's a pit that I can work in there.
I've taken pics of the front stock and hotchkiss bars together, I will post up when I'm done as well as the rear bars.

Hey TroysG,

How did it go with the install? Did you complete it last night?

Sucks to hear that you ran into some problems with the Rear.

Hopefully, everything is installed now. I'm sure it's all worth it!

everything is installed.
just gotta actually take it out for a good test... I figured playing in the rain would not be a proper demo.
I'm in the process of uploading the pics to photobucket now.

the first few pictures involving the shot glass are the front sways.
the last 3 are the rear sway comparison... I took pictures with my actual camera which is being uncooperative right now.
