Sam, I love it!!!! I wouldn't have gone any bigger. 50" seems just right for my set up that I'm slowly creating.

I just got a new Blu-Ray player for Christmas..an Oppo BDP-83. Its built like a tank and also is a multi-player( SACD and DVD-Audio). Very good reviews about this unit.

By the end of January, I'm going to get the set professionally calibrated. I wanted to slowly break the set in( around 200hrs or so of use) before I get it done.

Also, I found a retailer in Toronto that gets HDMI cables cheap and is the only Oppo carrier in Canada that I could find.

I'm glad to hear you love it Bill. What did the TV set you back? I can get it in KW for $2300 with a three year warranty.

Do you have a Visions Electronics over there? They're awesome, everytime I go there they toss whatever cables I need for my TV in for free, and when I need more stuff they give me insane discounts (almost at cost).

^ I dont recall seeing one in the GTA.

I was on the search for a few displayport cables and none of those retailers had them in stock.. almost gave up and bought it from monoprice in US but found 123inkcartridges for pretty cheap.. they usually sell ink for printers but sells cables as well. If anyone needs to get something there, code 123moose = 10% off and never expires.

Not exactly a traditional electronics store, but if you are really in a bind and need a cheap cable asap, give your local winner's a shot. Picked up a 10ft'er recently for 10 bucks.
