Unhappy Dang... kiss the modding goodbye for a while

Had to take my F150 in for repairs yesterday.

It was dead in the driveway on Sunday.
Kicked over no problem, but not even a hint of trying to run.
I suspected the fuel pump.

Got a call with good news this a.m.
Fuel pump OK, it was just a corroded connection behind the fuse block.
It was due for brakes so I had them check them while it was in.

an hour later got a call.....
-needs front rotors & calipers & rear drums

"...OK go ahead."

an hour later got a call.....
- when we got in there we found one bad tie rod.

"...OK go ahead."

an hour later got a call.....
- when we did the tie rod we found that the upper ***** where completely done, they have to be replaced.

"...OK go ahead."

...good thing I've known this guy for almost 20 years

Bottom line ~ $1,600 in repairs & good bye modding for a while

Ouch Sounds like a few of my bills on my 97 Z71, I guess these things will catch up with us on these go anywhere rides.
That Ford is your workhorse.

I'm sure you will still have a few mods to keep you busy during the next few weeks.

Hard to keep a good man down. As I recall, you've got deep shelves too.

Selling your spacers should help a tad with the bills

Can't fault you for trying Ian. It'll happen when it does. No worries.

Sam, what do you do for a living? You're always up nice and early!

I need a full time job

Your car would look so good with some spacers

Yeah, can't complain.
Pushing 400,000 km on it & still running like a top.
With the new suspension bits, it was like driving a new truck to work today.

^ I guess you shouldn't have any complaints. 400K!

I believe you that it drives like a new one now after parts being so worn out.
