Coilover question, jic flt rs
Hey guys
I need your in put, I have a shop selling me used jic flt rs coilovers for $600. He said they were on 350z for three months. They look good I see no leaks and no rust all postive in my eyes.
Now my last question should I buy them, are they good coilovers

F JIC are brutally stiff and harsh, they dont last long compaired to other coilerovers so they need to be rebuilt after a year or so because they don't last long! They are more of a no compramise track coilover. Why did the original owner sell them? Likely because they ruined the ride of his car, look in the market place on here and my350z JIC is the most common coilovers for sale. There is a reason for that.
OEM spring rates are 314/342kg and JIC 350Z rates are 560/672 they are 76% stiffer in the front than factory and 98% in the rear.
However its your money and it is only $600 put them on and if you don't like sell them again for $600-800.
Also here is a good read, the author did have JIC listed as a "crap" company I see he has since removed it looks like to do avoiding legal issues, He says the adjustments ***** could make it full stiff if you try to soften they or softer when you try to stiffen he claims there is no consistany in them at all.

I am not trying to pee on your party but i was going to get JIC myself because my local tuning shop is a JIC distributor and LOVES them but after doing some research I decided that the ride of your car is one of the most important things and i didn't want to hate the harsh ride every time I got in the car.
