It's official UFC is fixed
because the refs are boxing guys, they think to defeat a champion you have to knock him out. mma is not = boxing
i feel really bad for shogun and for the sport, japan used to have these fixed games when the losing side is popular japanese fighters.but this is off the hook.
machida from now on is a paper champion. shogun is the real champ. i think all these "karate is back" bs advertising campaign made for machida saved him the day. he didnt do anything 2-3 occasions counter punch and a flying knee thats it. even u score it conservatively still shogun gets the rounds 3-2.
on the other hand california athletic commission is the one who thinks machida won! besides this commission had a big reputation for having corruption(old president resigns, so many other things) and there was no ufc is california since gracie was fighting in UFC.i dont think UFC would ever be in california again.
lyoto deserves a rematch not Shogun since he clearly won that game.Lyoto is the one who needs to prove himself, and he has the guts to say "i think i win" after the match.his legs were all red, he has a scar on his face bleeding, and after all those leg kicks he was limping.
anyways, im so pissed, the only fight i would ever watch again in ufc is lesnar-carwin match but i know if carwin doesnt KO brock, again he will lose just like today.

i agree with you machida is a paper champ but in reality after shoguns performance last night i can't see him losing in the rematch either. machida knew he was going to lose his facial expression when they announced the winner says it all.
lesnar vs carwin should be a good fight looking forward to that one. the scary thing is brock is only getting better.

good fight, i do believe it was close match in my eyes. I felt 1st and 3rd round was machida and 2nd and 4th and POSSIBLY 5th was all shogun. I do find it bs that it was a unanimous decision. It should have really gone to split decision. Even though ima machida fan i dont feel he was victorious in this match. Pretty bummed there wasn't a knockout or submission as well.
I was rooting for machida as well but off the bat he looked a little flat footed compared to shogun. regardless shogun was smart and stuck with his strategy, he didn't chase machida otherwise i'm sure he would have been knocked on his back.
