Smile C7 Fall Tour 2009 - Picture Thread

long day. very tired... not to mention, i got lost as i was not checking the directions and followed the WRONG G to some other location lol....

some pics..

sorry for the pic heavy thread... wish there was an easier embedding option which is not limited to 4 per post.

was great meeting some of you after a good solid 3-4 months. The first time i was outnumbered by sedans at a meet!!! :P

EDIT: wrong place to post this? sorry ops.

Nice meeting all of you!!! Thank you... you know what just got me thinking right now.. as i was looking closely at the pictures ... Intrg8r's front license plate!!!! IS THAT A PICTURE??? i'm going crazy here... i'm checking all the pictures and it looks like its painted onto the front bumper but at the same time, its like its inside or something..

I dunno how to explain it..!!

i blurred the plate but you guys get the idea.

MAN.... I can't believe i didn't notice this earlier!! I would've been up and down on getting this onto my car... you see.. I hate plate holders.. they are bulky.. they take away the fine curves and lines from the bumper and make the front end just pure ugly!! They spend so much $$$ to designing a nice bumper, only to have it ruined by a 6"x12" POS

So i did what i could do while staying within the rules.. i put my plate directly onto the bumper and curved it a bit so it would be flush... disadvantage would be if my bumper was to be replaced, i would have to get another plate.. 20$ who cares.. you also gotta be careful with the drilling of the holes so it doesn't rust... i got it done at a bodyshop.

and then.......

I see this.. Its gonna be my mission to do whatever he did for my G lol.. Is that even a plate? .. its like imprinted on the bumper .. like some watermark!! haha

Yea man, it's vinyl lol just a sticker!

I noticed that at the deatling meet earlier this year. I was equally amazed!

My new bumper isn't plate friendly and I haven't decided what to do... that may be an option for me. Although I wish I could go plateless

Btw, Ian wheels look sick man!

THANKS!!!

So vinyl eh.... is that legal? That would be part of my IF statement before proceeding.

and yes.. his wheels are amazing!! I love the staggered fitment and the logo for the brand is pretty nice as well.. gives it that VIP look.

I don't think it's legal because it isn't reflective. But that would be hard for a cop to catch. They can see so they won't bother you.
