Cheap tires...
^^ NFW is some pimple-faced high school kid at Wally World getting his mitts on my Rays.
IIRC last time I got a M&B it was around 25 bucks each. Sometimes shops will do it cheaper if 1) you bought tires there or 2) you bring 'em in loose so they don't have to dismount first.

Yeah $25/wheel is what i've paid. I have a tire machine in my shop, but Its set up for motorcycle wheels and a 45-50 series 17 is as far as i can go on it.
I pretty reputable shop in Calgary butchered my last set of loose wheel/tires. In leu of repairing the wheel, they "owe" me a mount & balance. It was a year ago though so I hope they remember.

Well i can't win...
Carmodifier took payment, confirmed address, blah blah blah. Tires are 6-8 weeks away though. I tried to deal on the V12's (my first choice), but they are $170 over tirerack.com.
I just can't eat $170 so now i'm going to try my luck with Tire Rack.
$960 cdn delivered for either:
Kumho Ecsta SPT 235/35/19 and 255/35/19
OR
Hankook Ventus V12 225/40 245/40/19
I'm gonna take an hour to think it over and order from tirerack.

Looks like you can get the General UHP's in those sizes for $908 shipped. Just to give you something MORE to think about, LOL!
I don't pay anything to have my wheels mounted.
But I wouldn't be taking them to wal mart. HAHA
Friend of mine took his works there.... lets just say they are a new colour now.

So in Carmodifers defence:
They were very good to deal with. The price through them on a set of Yokohamas was very close to Tireracks V12 pricing, so i went all cheapo and called them just incase there were some hidden promotions i was missing.
Adam called me back (4 hours later though) and was very accomidating and assured me the price was as good as it would get. I bought in. Did the online order... No confirmation sent by email as it said I would get, so I called earlier today. 2 hours later I get a call back. Tires are 6-8 weeks away.
I asked what he could do on a few other tires and got an email listing what they had to offer. Kumhos, Hankooks and Nankang were quoted. Unfortunately all much too high for e to "keep it Cdn", but they tried and discounted them more then they advertised online.
I ordered Kumho Ecsta SPTs from tire rack this afternon. I got a call double checking shipping address and billing address and confirmed my order. I was old my tires would ship in the morning.
Heres to hoping...

Good to here. Can't wait to put it all on so it can sit in the garage for 2 more months! Hindsight is telling me maybe 6-8weeks for the Yokos wasn't such a bad thing.

Got em...

Cost me $934.40 all said and done. Can't be happier. Mounting them in the morning!
Took the TPMS sensors out of my 17's and built a "cell" for them like i did in my Frontier. Its got 35 psi in it, so i can change wheels (need be) and not have to worry about TPMS issues.
