My tire shop called, my tires are in but the earliest I could get them done was Nov 19th .
I said "not"
The owner called me up just now, he is opening up at 7AM for me this Wed so he can put my tires on.
It's nice to have a place that will work with you. He has helped me out a few times.

So I will be ready for whatever Mother Nature throws at us by Nov 11th

Did I ever tell you the Infiniti AWD system ROCKS DOMODOMODOMO

That's nice you have a good "friend" in the tire business!

Had my first taste of it this am...without snows. We had about 8 cms or so last night. Heavy crap. Car had a hard time steering and stopping but I can tell this thing will work slick with good tires.

Yuck
Heavy wet snow is the worst. Deane wait till you get the snows on, you will want to go out and play in the X all the time. I used to be like a kid when I woke up and saw fresh fallen snow. I would want to go out and play in it.............with the X

I won't bet against that. I know it will be true. H and I used to do that many times with all of the other 4x4 vehicles I've owned. I'm kind of excited like the kid thing you're describing. Nice that you can still do that now too.

Heavy snow is what we see most of the time. It's tough stuff for anything to plow through...and worse to snowblow or shovel. Most of it is gone now after warm up and rain. The rest will go tomorrow.

Snow already in Canada... only a matter of time for Fargo. It was 53 degrees (F) here today!

No snow tires for my sisters Subaru Outback. I don't have the money and neither do they so im on crappy 5 year old Dayton tires haha this thing just sliiiides through intersections. it is godawful at stopping and turning in the snow. Oh well, just gotta be careful.

Yeah, it was one of those rogue nor'easters that seem to be occuring more often than we'd like on the east coast. We've still got 3-4 cms down on the ground but thankfully some warm stuff coming tomorrow and for a few days after.

Your time will come but I hope for both our sakes it's nothing like the last few years. You guys really got hammered last year IIRC.

I cringe when I hear nor'easter because it's a guarantee of tons of wet heavy snow and high winds.

Give us an update on the home whenever you get a chance.

Well I got my new Blizzak DM-V1 in 265/60/18 installed at my tire shop. I was home with the new tires mounted by 7:45 AM this morning, it was great that the owner opened up early and did mine himself since they were booked up for weeks.
They ride nice but you do hear them a bit. Pretty aggressive tread pattern.

Then Friday morning I get the underneath of the FX sprayed by Rust Check with their Coat & Protect.

Then I am ready for the long winter.

Looks great Wayne. You're going to do some serious winter carving with that set up!
