Sold the G & bought an M3

So I sold my 04 G35 coupe about 6 weeks back and picked up a 2006 BMW M3 6spd with competition package. I wish I could say I miss the G but I had a lot of issues with it in the 2 years I owned it (window motors, axle click, leaking spark plug tube seals, alternator, etc). Going to definetly stick around g35driver since its is one of the best car communities and I like the active Canadian section here.

A few pics of my new money pit.

Insurance is a bitch (thankfully I turn 25 this spring so premium goes down)
Gas mileage is atrocious...
Brakes, tires, oil, service, all expensive as hell...
...but she's a blast to drive.

BTW if anyone's got a G35 in Twilight Blue and wants a free Nissan Paint pen send me a PM [Paint Pen is going to davidxu]. Also selling all my intake mods: https://g35driver.com/forums/engine-...it-filter.html

Nice job. I’ve been considering this myself. As much as I love my coupe, I still have a thing for the E46 M3's. I love the alpine white. But good luck with your maintenance. I hope she is still under warrantee.

Where do you live...I'll try to stay out of your way, lol
Very nice car and I really like the colour too!
I hope you have better luck with her than you did with your G. Sounds like you had one of the few 'not so good ones'.
Cheers.

For the routine maintenance on the E46, you should check out Bimmersport Automotive in Mississauga, Charlie knows his stuff when it comes to the Bimmer's.

Mississauga, ON L5T 1N8
(905) 670-9200
bimmersport.ca‎

Will definitely save you a few bucks over going to the stealerships...

Looks awesome i have always liked the E46. Some days i wish I would have went that route instead of the G. However i like the Infiniti community much better than the (local) BMW community though.

Glad to hear a few people recommending bimmersport. So far i've heard nothing but good things about these guys. I plan on doing all my maintenance, including inspection II & valve adjustment myself, but if I need anything major done (ie. clutch in a few years) then i'll be taking it to these guys for sure.

also glad to see I didn't catch too much flak about dropping the G and going to the dark side. I have to say I really miss the exhaust note from the VQ (especially with some intake mods), one of the best sounding cars stock, the M leave something to be desired, exhaust sounds cheap and raspy.

It might have been a different story if you went to a 328i, lol, but an M3 is a nice move!
