WIND Mobile
^it's sure we're going to have a better rates coming with more real competition.
Wayne, I've got a small piece of BCE too.
I got out of the other telecoms with a profit but not mama bell.

I was reading about this new company what I don't get is they are offering no contract so how much would a phone cost?
I usually sign long term contracts so my phone is cheaper, getting "locked" into a contract doesn't really matter as you can always change your rate plan under contract
Hopefully they make the rate plans cheaper I personally don't care about "No Contract" BS

$450 for a BB Bold doesnt seem too bad, i think they still go for $600 fully unlocked. But at that price, i wonder if its still locked to Wind
me friend is switching. the data plan is 35$ for unlimited internet including tethered. she's canceling her home internet and just hooking up her laptop to her phone.
i'm tempted to switch as well... unfortunately i'm still stuck on contract.

Only some unlocked phones will work with WIND as they operate on AWS.
The unlimited data and tethering feature is nice, after 5 gb they slow your connection but dont cap it.
I will either hope Bell comes outw ith competitive plans and features to match, or I will be switching when the next Iphone comes out compatible for the network.
The big three will lose too many customers if they dont adjust their pricing so I think exisiting customers just have to wait for them to change. Recently I picked up a nice BB Social plan with some added features for $40... cant really complain with that deal at all!

Telus is the only way to go in Alberta....if you ever leave the citys anyway. i have been with bell and rogers both have brutal service compared to Telus even though bell claims to share the telus towers. I am often off the beaten path and telus is far better than the competitors. i have hated telus for a long time though there price gouging is brutal i hope we end up with rates comparable to the US.

It's absolutely brutal when I look at the monthly cost for communication utilities. (phone/cell/www/cable)
