that does sound pretty good. I wonder how much a GTR exhaust would cost tho considering that car is about 100gs. prolly about 2500 bux or so unless he got super lucky from some sort of luxury junkyard.

i think the guy works for a body shop where someone took out his gtr exhaust to put something different so they got it for free, but im thinking normally it should be somewhere around 2-3 G easily..

Sounds great, CDN. Need a cough drop?

I actually think most exhausts sound better under load. I haven't actually heard mine from outside the car much, I may have to take some video just to find out how it sounds.

EDIT: Holy crap, that GTR exhaust sounds delicious.

I've been sucking on halls for the past week trying to kill this cold/flu/H2N2 whatever it is! Its starting to get real annoying! Thanks for the comments tho! It would be nice to have a meet and just do a compilation of exhaust notes

I usually don't post my clips in someone elses thread but it seems to be the the thing to do. CDN_G35 if you want me to remove them PM me and I will do so.

Here is one with open dumps off the down pipes before we hooked it into the exhaust, muscle car guys always gave me thumbs up when i was cruising and it did sound like it was mean but after about 15min it got over bearing.
Here are pictures of the dumps off the down pipe I have a short video of some light reving the car

an old vid with a stock engine and little turbos.

<object style="height: 344px; width: 425px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Cm-vyfdhUx4"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Cm-vyfdhUx4" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></object>

Here is another one with the small motor and turbos and about 2:40 he does the launch control that is the sound I love!!!! Its only set at 3000rpm in the vid so it dosent sould as sick as when it is higher rpm and it builds boost then it sounds siiiiiccckkk.

PS do not watch the whole vid at 1:30 he revs the car and at 2:40ish he dose the launch control and 3:30 he does a dyno pull the rest it lots of blah blab blah.

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_AggV_-rFYM&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_AggV_-rFYM&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Here is with the big engine and big turbos on the dyno to 4500rpm thats where my torque maxxxd out the dynos torque capacity. For you blow off valve lovers you can hear my recirc valve at the end of this one its louder when you are in the higher rpm ranges under full boost but I don't think its as loud with the hood closed.

And if you pause it after it counts down to 0 but before it shuts down the screen flashes the power, torque, and boost it made at 4500 rpm thats actually why we were taping it so we could see those numbers because they only flash for a second before it shuts down.

No problem at all Sylvan! Your car is absolutely sick, probably my favourite G on the forums! I wish I was out west so I could have Lightspeed do some work for me!

ur exhaust sounds good!!

i head a G35 revving and drifting the other day and he had an exhaust and it brought back memories.

i love the BOVs sound! lol but with a stock exhaust i couldnt hear the exhaust all i heard was loud turbo suction sound and bov sounds lol. the idle was very quiet exhaust wise, turbo whistled very loudly! its definitely quieter with a turbo/s.

Sylvans car is amazing! i wish i had the money to make my car like that

I wish I did too. the car is a sore spot around our house as it exceeded the budget considerably and cut into other "funds" of things the wife would rather have like a ski boat and a hot tub. I thought the car was done but this winter already I have spent over $2000 on gaskets($1,000 on gaskets) and other little items I would never build a car like this again the cost is unreal honestly if I did it again I would stay on the stock block with smaller turbos.

Thats some good advice! I will definitely keep that in mind when doing my build. I don't think I will need as much power as your pushing, I will probably be content with 400 and change. I just need to save up more funds, I had to replace my roof and also totally gutted my bathroom and re-did it all so its definitely left a large ding in my savings
